ShipBob, the US ecommerce logistics platform, plans to open 20 distribution centres in Europe

ShipBob, an American e-commerce logistics platform, has announced plans to expand its European market by opening five distribution centers in 2022, with a total of 20 distribution centers planned, foreign media reported.

ShipBob's new UK distribution centre will provide sellers with instant access to an international logistics network, as well as unique technology to help them track stock, fulfil orders and identify the best carriers to deliver goods quickly and affordably. The first staff of ShipBob's UK distribution centre have now started work.

ShipBob will also provide European sellers with access to North American consumers and a "last mile" logistics delivery solution comparable to Amazon's FBA to deliver packages directly to the recipient.

ShipBob co-founder Dhruv Saxen said the expansion of ShipBob to Europe will help more companies succeed and ShipBob will continue to provide cross-border sales and delivery services for sellers.

ShipBob's revenue grew by over 100% year on year in 2020, shipping over billions of dollars worth of merchandise, and the company is now valued at over $1 billion. This expansion into Europe represents continued growth for 2021.

ShipBob said it would have 20 distribution centres in Europe by 2023, creating 300 permanent jobs in the UK and adding 200 in Europe.
